Passport to Connecticut Farm Wineries Program

Connecticut may be a small state, but there is always plenty to do here! A true favorite is to visit the Connecticut Wine Trail. Did you know CT has more than 37 licensed wineries throughout the state? A complete list of all of the state’s wineries and vineyards can be found by visiting the Connecticut Department of Agriculture website.

From May until November, the Connecticut Farm Wine Development Council and the Connecticut Department of Agriculture sponsor the Passport to Connecticut Farm Wineries program. The members of the Connecticut Wine Trail, along with other Connecticut Wineries and Vineyards participate each year.

This year’s Passport Program runs from May 5-November 5, with the following participating wineries:

  • Hartford County-
    • Brignole Vineyards, East Granby
    • Rosedale Farms and Vineyards, Simsbury

  • Litchfield County-
    • Bethlehem Vineyard and Winery, Bethlehem
    • CT Valley Winery, New Hartford
    • Haight-Brown Vineyard, Litchfield
    • Hawk Ridge Winery, Watertown

If you would like to take part in this program, you must go to a participating winery to pick up your passport. Then, no later than November 5, you must get at least 16 stamps and return your passport to any participating winery. In addition to having your passport stamped at participating wineries, you can also have it stamped at the CT Wine Festival in Goshen, July 22-23. Once you have returned your stamped passport, you will be entered into a drawing for these amazing prizes:

  • Grand Prize #1 & #2: A 2 week trip for 2 to Malaga, Spain
  • 1st Prize: A pair of diamond earrings set in 14K white gold
  • 2nd Prize: A chauffeured limousine wine tour for 8 on a Sunday of your choice
  • (15) 3rd Prize: An overnight stay for 2 at LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Danbury
  • (37) 4th Prize: A certificate for 2 bottles of wine from a 2017 Passport participating Connecticut Farm Winery
